- Fitness: Basic fitness required. No severe medical conditions
Fitness Criteria
- The person should be physically fit to jog for a sustained duration without excessive fatigue, showing sufficient cardiovascular endurance and lower-body strength necessary for outdoor physical activities.
- The person must demonstrate the ability to bear backpack load comfortably during prolonged walking, without signs of muscle strain or loss of stability.
- The person must be physically capable of sustained cycling activity, demonstrating cardiovascular fitness, lower-body strength, and controlled breathing.
- Most trekking guidelines consider individuals with a BMI of 18.5–29.9 suitable for participation, provided they do not fall into extreme underweight or obesity categories that could limit performance during long-duration walks
