Age Requirement :
- Minimum Age: 12 years and above
- Experience: Previous trekking or climbing experience recommended
- Fitness: Good physical fitness is necessary. No severe medical conditions, infants and pregnant women must avoid .
Fitness Criteria
- The individual must be capable of jogging continuously for at least 20–30 minutes at a steady pace without frequent breaks, extreme breathlessness, or discomfort. Heart rate and breathing should return to near normal within a few minutes after stopping.
- The individual should be able to carry a backpack weighing approximately 20–25% of their body weight for 1–2 hours while walking, without experiencing shoulder strain, back pain, or imbalance.
- The person must be physically capable of sustained cycling activity, demonstrating cardiovascular fitness, lower-body strength, and controlled breathing.
- A BMI within the range of 18.5 to below 30 is typically required for trekking activities, with the expectation that individuals outside this range may face increased physical stress and may not be permitted on moderate to difficult treks.

The nearest domestic airport is Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,860m/9,380ft). You can fly to Lukla from Kathmandu on a small propeller plane. Alternatively, you can take a bus or taxi to Jiri and then trek to Lukla. Once in Lukla, you'll begin your trek, which follows the valley floor, passing through villages and scenic landscapes. The trekking trails can vary depending on the season and weather, and your guide or tour operator will provide you with detailed information on the trails and necessary gear. Along the way, you'll stop at teahouses and lodges, where you can rest, eat, and rejuvenate. The Everest Region Treks offer breathtaking views of the Himalayas, but it's essential to be prepared and flexible to make the most out of this adventure. Kids Guidelines
- • Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to participate in the Everest Region Treks. For kids aged 13-18, it's essential to assess their physical and mental fitness before joining the trek. Children should be at least 16 years old and have prior trekking or hiking experience. A certified guide or tour operator will accompany the child and ensure their safety throughout the trek.
