The trek leads through the Khangchendzonga National Park in Sikkim, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of exceptional ecological and scenic significance, to the Goechala viewpoint at an elevation of 4,940 meters, where the sheer east face of Kangchenjunga rises directly above the observer in a display of mountain architecture of overwhelming scale and beauty.

Age Requirement :
  • Minimum Age: Minimum 8 years and above
  • Experience: The trek is open to Indian citizens only. Prior trekking experience helpful
  • Fitness: Good physical fitness required. High altitude sickness possible. Consult your doctor before the trek.
Fitness Criteria
  • The individual must be capable of jogging continuously for at least 20–30 minutes at a steady pace without frequent breaks, extreme breathlessness, or discomfort. Heart rate and breathing should return to near normal within a few minutes after stopping.
  • The individual should be able to cycle continuously for 30–60 minutes on flat or mildly uneven terrain without severe exhaustion, knee pain, or breathing distress.
  • The individual should be able to carry a backpack weighing approximately 20–25% of their body weight for 1–2 hours while walking, without experiencing shoulder strain, back pain, or imbalance.
  • Participants are generally required to have a BMI between 18.5 and 29.9 to be considered fit for trekking, as this range is commonly accepted for managing endurance, load carrying, and altitude-related strain during treks.
