Beyond Adventure

  •  Manaslu Region Treks encompass a collection of extraordinary trekking routes in the Gorkha district of Nepal, centered on the eighth-highest mountain in the world, Mount Manaslu, which soars to 8,163 meters in a display of Himalayan grandeur that dominates the entire region. The most famous of these routes is the Manaslu Circuit, a challenging and magnificent trek that circumnavigates the entire Manaslu massif over a period of fourteen to eighteen days, crossing the high Larkya La Pass at 5,106 meters and passing through some of the most remote, culturally rich, and scenically spectacular terrain in Nepal. The region was closed to foreign trekkers until 1991, and this relative newness to trekking tourism means that it retains a wilderness character and cultural authenticity that the more heavily visited trekking areas of Nepal have largely lost.
