How to Reach

By Road

Pilgrims can reach Manimahesh in Himachal Pradesh for the Manimahesh Yatra Chamba tour starting from Chandigarh by taking a flight to Gaggal Airport in Dharamshala, which is the nearest airport, and then proceed . The nearest railway station is Pathankot, from where they can take a bus or taxi to reach Hadsar, the base camp for the trek to Manimahesh. From Chandigarh, pilgrims can also take a bus or drive directly to Hadsar, which is connected by a good network of roads, and then begin their trek to Manimahesh.

Journey Itinerary

Day 1

Start your journey from Chandigarh to Bharmour, the base camp for Manimahesh Yatra, a distance of approximately 650 km, around 12-14 hours journey, check into hotel, have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 2

After breakfast, visit the Chaurasi Temple, a beautiful and historic temple complex, have lunch, and then explore the local market and surroundings, dinner and overnight stay at Bharmour.

Day 3

Get ready for the trek to Manimahesh Lake, start early in the morning, have breakfast and pack lunch, the trek is around 14 km and takes about 6-8 hours to reach the lake, take a dip in the holy lake and have darshan at the Manimahesh Temple, dinner and overnight stay in tents near the lake.

Day 4

Wake up early to witness the sunrise at the lake, have breakfast, and then explore the surroundings, take a dip in the lake again if you wish, pack lunch and start the trek back to Bharmour, dinner and overnight stay at Bharmour.

Day 5

After breakfast, visit the Bharmani Mata Temple, around 4 km trek from Bharmour, have lunch and then visit other local temples and the museum, dinner and overnight stay at Bharmour.

Day 6

Take a day trip to the beautiful town of Chamba, around 60 km from Bharmour, visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple, Chamunda Devi Temple, and other local attractions, have lunch and then return to Bharmour, dinner and overnight stay at Bharmour.

Day 7

Start your return journey to Chandigarh, have breakfast and lunch on the way, the journey is around 12-14 hours, reach Chandigarh in the evening and check into hotel, dinner and rest.

Day 8

After breakfast, spend some time shopping for souvenirs or exploring the city, and then depart for your onward journey, the Manimahesh Yatra comes to an end with memories of the beautiful and sacred places visited during the journey.
