How to Reach

 By Road

Pilgrims can reach Leh Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir for the Leh Ladakh Buddhist Monastery Tour starting from Delhi by flying to the nearest airport, which is the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, or taking a train to the nearest railway station, which is the Jammu Tawi railway station, and then proceeding . From Jammu, pilgrims can take buses or taxis that ply regularly to Leh, a journey of around 700 kilometers that takes about two days, with an overnight halt at Srinagar or other places along the way. Alternatively, pilgrims can also take buses directly from Delhi to Leh, which is a long and tiring journey, but offers scenic views of the Himalayas.

Arrive at Delhi airport and take an early morning flight to Leh, the capital city of Ladakh, arriving at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, transfer to hotel, rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of Leh, in the evening visit Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist stupa built to promote world peace, and enjoy a traditional Ladakhi dinner at the hotel

After breakfast, visit the famous Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh, known for its beautiful architecture and stunning murals, followed by a visit to the Thiksey Monastery, which houses a two-story statue of Maitreya, the future Buddha, and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, in the evening explore the Leh market and try some local street food

Drive to Alchi, a small village in the Leh district, known for its ancient monasteries, visit the Alchi Monastery, a 10th-century monastery that is one of the oldest in Ladakh, and explore the nearby village, enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the beautiful scenery, and return to Leh in the evening, with a stopover at the Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers

Drive to Nubra Valley, a scenic valley in the north of Leh, known for its stunning landscapes and ancient monasteries, cross the Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, visit the Diskit Monastery, a 14th-century monastery that is home to a large statue of Maitreya, and enjoy a traditional Ladakhi dinner at a campsite in Nubra Valley
