  • Bashleo Pass Trek is a magnificent crossover trek in Himachal Pradesh that connects the Kullu Valley with the Seraj Valley and the Jalori Pass area by crossing the Bashleo Pass at approximately 3,550 meters, offering trekkers a journey through some of the most beautiful and varied landscape in the inner Himalayan foothills. The trek is characterized by dense forests of oak, horse chestnut, maple, and deodar, high alpine meadows rich in wildflowers, and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks that make it a particularly rewarding experience for those who appreciate the quieter, more intimate face of Himalayan beauty.

Experience The Bashleo Pass Trek is perfectly suited for beginners. Those coming for the first time should prepare and read extensively about the trek. A basic knowledge about how to use a sleeping bag, toilet tents, sleeping tents, and mountain mannerisms will come in handy.
Fitness Good fitness is must as you need to walk a lot.
Fitness Criteria
1. A basic jogging requirement is the ability to maintain a light to moderate jog for 3–5 km without exhaustion, joint pain, or dizziness. The person should demonstrate controlled breathing and adequate stamina throughout the activity.
2. A basic cycling fitness requirement includes maintaining a steady pace for moderate distances while showing good leg endurance and rapid recovery after stopping.
3. A minimum requirement is the capacity to walk with a loaded backpack for extended periods while maintaining proper posture and manageable fatigue, indicating adequate core and upper-body endurance.
4. A BMI within the range of 18.5 to below 30 is typically required for trekking activities, with the expectation that individuals outside this range may face increased physical stress and may not be permitted on moderate to difficult treks.

It is essential for everyone to arrive at Mandi

Once you reach Mandi our vehicles will pick you up from Mandi ISBT and drive to Jalori Pass.

Journey Itinerary

Day 01
Our vehicles will pick you up from Mandi ISBT and drive to Jalori Pass which will take about 3 - 4 hours. Jalori Pass has kept itself away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. From Jalori pass we will start our trek to Serolsar Lake, a stunning lake with an almost tranquil aura. If time permits we will visit an old fort perched on top of a hill near the lake which gives you stunning views of the entire valley. Overnight in tents.
Day 02
We start our trek from Serolsar Lake and reach Notchi Top after a gradual incline. We then descend down to the base of Chara which is the highest meadow of the trek and one gets clear views of the Basaleo Pass from here. Overnight in tents.
Day 03
We will descent through dense oak forest to reach the other side of the mountain and camp at Gugal Thatch, a stunning grassland located at the base of the Chool mountain.
Day 04
Today we will start our trek with a descend followed by a gradual ascend through oak, pine, cedar and maple forest to reach the base of Bashleo Pass. Overnight in tents.
Day 05
Today we will cross the Bashleo Pass and enter the true Tirthan valley and walk alongside the Tirthan river to reach Jibhi. Our vehicles will pick you up from Jibhi and drive to Ma which will take about 2-4 hours. Expect to reach Mandi ISBT by late evening.
