Hemkund Sahib Trek in Uttarakhand | Young Guns Trekkers

Hemkund Sahib Trek

Beyond Adventure

  • Hemkund Sahib Trek is a journey of profound spiritual significance combined with extraordinary natural beauty, leading pilgrims and trekkers alike to one of the highest Sikh shrines in the world, situated at an elevation of approximately 4,632 meters beside a glacial lake of crystalline clarity in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The shrine of Hemkund Sahib, also known as Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib, commemorates the place where the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, meditated in a previous life, and is one of the most sacred sites in the Sikh faith. Every year, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims make the arduous ascent to this remote and magnificent location to seek the blessings of the Guru and to experience the transcendent atmosphere of this high Himalayan sanctuary.
