Kang Yatse II Expedition in Ladakh | Young Guns Trekkers

Kang Yatse II Expedition

Beyond Adventure

  • Kang Yatse II Expedition is one of the most prestigious and rewarding high-altitude mountaineering objectives in the Indian Himalaya, drawing climbers from across the world to the stark and magnificent landscape of Ladakh for the challenge of ascending a peak that soars to 6,250 meters above sea level. Situated in the remote Markha Valley region of Ladakh, Kang Yatse II is a trekking peak of the first order, demanding genuine mountaineering skills, excellent physical fitness, and a deep respect for the unpredictable power of the high Himalayan environment. The expedition combines the classic elements of Ladakhi trekking, including vibrant cultural encounters with Buddhist communities, stunning desert mountain scenery, and the unique quality of light and space that characterizes this high-altitude plateau landscape, with the ultimate physical and psychological challenge of a genuine summit bid on a peak that stands head and shoulders above the surrounding terrain.
