Best Period: May to June (Lush Green) and September to November (Clear Views).

Experience Suitable for beginners with a basic level of fitness and a love for mountain walking.
Fitness Criteria
1. Trekker should be able to cover 5 km in 35-40 minutes.
3. Ability to carry 6-8 kg is recommended; otherwise, offloading is available.
4. Should ideally be between 18.5 and 28.

As the trek starts directly from Manali, no major vehicle transfer is required to reach the trailhead.

Flight Option: Fly to Bhuntar Airport (Kullu) and take a 2-hour taxi ride to Manali.

The nearest major railhead is Chandigarh
Take an overnight Volvo bus from Delhi (ISBT Kashmiri Gate) to Manali.

Journey Itinerary

Day 01
The trek starts from Old Manali, near the Hadimba Temple. A steep 4-5 hour climb through thick forests of Deodar and Oak leads you to the beautiful alpine meadow of Lamadugh.
Day 02
Today is a steady climb as you leave the treeline. The trail opens up to vast ridges with views of Manali town far below. You will camp at a high ridge clearing near the base of the summit.
Day 03
An early start for the summit push. The trail follows a steep ridge to the top. After enjoying 360-degree views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges, you descend back to the comfort of the Lamadugh campsite.
Day 04
A final descent through the familiar forest trails. The walk down takes about 3 hours, bringing you back to Old Manali where you can celebrate your trek in one of the local cafes.
