4. BMI Requirement: Should ideally be between 18.5 and 28.

A scenic 3 to 4-hour drive passing through the saffron fields of Pampore and the tourist hub of Pahalgam to reach the quiet trailhead at Aru.

A 10 km walk (5-6 hours) through dense fir forests and gentle clearings along the Lidder River to reach the expansive meadows of Lidderwat.

A 7 km ascent (4-5 hours) into the higher valley. You pass through shepherd settlements and cross several streams, with the Kolahoi Peak starting to dominate the horizon.

The summit day. A 3-4 hour hike to reach the base of the glacier. After spending time at the snout and witnessing the "Matterhorn of Kashmir," you descend back to the comfort of Lidderwat.
