Spiti to Ladakh Trek

Beyond Adventure

  • The Spiti to Ladakh Trek is a legendary 14-day trans-Himalayan odyssey that stands as one of the most physically taxing and visually surreal expeditions on the planet. This is not merely a trail; it is an ancient lifeline—a high-altitude trade route that has bridged the "Middle Land" of Spiti with the nomadic Changthang Plateau of Ladakh for over a millennium. Centered around the formidable Parang La Pass at 5,578 meters (18,300 feet), the trek is a journey through a world where oxygen is a luxury, the mountains are sculpted by the winds of time, and the landscapes transition from the ochre canyons of Himachal to the shimmering, high-altitude turquoise of Ladakh’s sacred lakes.

Age Requirement
Minimum Age 18 years and above
Experience Prior high-altitude trekking experience above 4,500 m is mandatory for this trek. At least two or three previous Himalayan high-altitude treks are required before attempting this route. Experience with remote wilderness camping, extended multi-day trekking, and crossing high mountain passes is essential. This trek is not suitable for beginners under any circumstances. If participants have any medical condition, it is highly recommended to consult a doctor and inform us in advance so we can arrange logistics accordingly. Experienced Mountaineers and High-Altitude Trekkers: This trek is strictly for experienced trekkers with prior high-altitude experience above 4,500 m who are physically and mentally prepared for sustained extreme exertion, remote wilderness camping, and crossing a 5,578 m Himalayan pass.
Fitness Pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, cardiac issues, chronic respiratory disorders, or any history of HAPE or HACE must be disclosed before joining.
